DESCRIPTIVE MEMORY

This two-story concrete house features a clean and robust geometry, with a layout that opens toward the rear to capture views of the adjacent water canal. The design is characterized by solid materials, simple lines, and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.

A metal cladding wraps the entire house, serving both functional and aesthetic purposes. It provides privacy from the street, protects interior spaces from direct sunlight, and introduces a dynamic layer that casts shifting patterns of light and shadow throughout the day. On the canal side, the façade opens generously to take in the landscape and reinforce the visual connection with the water.

On the upper floor, a large terrace extends toward the canal, offering an elevated outdoor space with panoramic views. Side overhangs on both levels offer shade and emphasize the building’s horizontal expression. The result is a contemporary and cohesive design that balances openness, privacy, and material clarity.
